Summer Geek Time Fun & Frolic

Ah Summer. Lemonade, sun and the ritual of making sure all your servers and consoles don’t over heat. The ShinyGeeks household may already have a casualty (the PS3, sigh)…how do you keep those you hold dear cool and protected in the summer months?

You could try this Optimus Prime ice sculpture. Think of what the neighbors would say.

And of course, look for some of our cool new shinys later this summer :D Come on, did you really expect us to somehow not be cheesy all of a sudden?

Super Hero Valentine’s, Winter Con and 70′s-80′s lunch boxes!

We had alot of cool stuff in the 80′s. Well, minus the banana clips and parachute pants. I had everything from GI Joe to My Little Ponies (yes kids, you’re getting a remix of our old people toys now). My favorite thing to do was buy new gear for school each year. Trapper Keepers were cool but I loved lunch boxes.

I can remember all the lunch boxes I had as a kid. Pac-Man, Shirt Tales, The Smurfs, The Muppets, Cabbage Patch Kids, and my favorite, Super Friends with Wonder Woman in the lead :P.

We had alot of great stuff in the 80′s that wound up in Garage sales or lost to playground bets…*ahem* but when thinking back to all the branded bits and baubles we demanded, who remembers the Valentine’s cards? We do.

The guys over at Andertoons.com found some excellent retro super hero Valentine’s cards…and scanned them to be big enough to print from their site! Enjoy :D

‘Tis the season to pwn.

Yeah we have, literally, a TON of geek, comic & nerdy clothing ideas just waiting in the wings to break free of the creative ooze and crawl to live status in our cafepress shop.

This particular shirt, however, is one of my personal favorites. We all know the “Code Monkey” song right? (If you don’t you must find it and learn all the lyrics now.) Well we’ve had our share of being both the peon code monkeys as well as the highly respected code ninjas…so you can guess the next step. Why not show our love for Code Monkey Ninjas everywhere?
